The Emperor and Empress gave the Japanese Olympians who reached top 8 in each sport a Royal Tea Party yesterday morning.

I missed the news...
But I am happy to be able to check in your favor!!!

In Tokyo Friend Park II, Miki earned a family trip to Tokyo Disneyland, a pair Broadway show ticket, and one of the two electric drum sets that her friend accidentally earned one too many. She kindly took the excessive drum set home in his place !

Miki hitting the drums will sure make a cool picture !!!

Oh I forgot, she also got a pot brush when she goofed a throw at dartboard.

In the program brochure of JO/CaOI, there were short skater interviews, and Miki's was something like this:

Q: When you have children of your own, would you like to teach them how to skate?

Q: The good and the bad points of having become a figure skater?
A: The good; being able to meet people you couldn't otherwise.

I knew Miki loves roller coasters and risky thrills but NOOO don't do pairs! That'll give me heart attacks!!

I saw this video yesterday and I thought it was for a new ice show!



Miki looks so pretty!

Miki was caught sight of in ShinYokohama station getting on a Shinkansen train (Like the TGV in Europe) heading to Nagoya, about 2 and a half hours ago.

She must have had her blades sharpened by the famous Seiji Sakata, the one who also sharpens blades of YuNa, because his shop is in ShinYokohama. Miki has been relying on him for a long time.

The witness tweet says she was carrying a huge suitcase !!

So she'll probably train in Chukyo Univ. till the end of CoC.
Amodio and Reeds will be at NHK, and Miki and Sergei at CoC so that's why I thought so.
Val will be at Skate Canada, and Morozov will likely be there on spot. He's always travelling to and fro.


ETA: Morozov will join his students in Nagoya on Monday afternoon, says the Reeds blog.

Thanks for the info sorcerer! I must say that I am happy about Miki being able to train in Nagoya too.

This coming November there will be a charity auction, by the JOC, of their atheletes' autographed personal sports wear.
Among many, Miki's training wear will also be put to the bidding.
The money will all go to those who need help in Haiti via their Olympic Committee.

That's so cool just imagining it, Bill !!!
I would feel in heaven to own one of Miki's skating shoes !!

However I assume that Miki keeps all her skate shoes as she does all her fan letters.
So full of her personal memories in them....

But considering Eric Clapton auctioning away his elecric guitars some years back, you can never tell what would happen.

Holy cow! One girl looks like Miki's younger sister. Does Miki have a sister? Junior skaters? Nice looking rink. Couldn't figure out exactly what was going on but an interesting vid to say the least.
